last post evers

favorite piece this year: that one, of me. thats green. and black and white.

favorite event: probably the jesse reno work shop. i don't think anything else we did this year was as inspirational as that. seeing all his work and where he comes from, pushes me to become a better artist. when i see people like that jus doing art all day every day. it jus makes me want to create even more. lumberjack day was really fun to. axe throwing was sick. and it was a nice wrap up to the year. I thought that all of the events we did were worthwhile, and im sure any more would be worthwhile also.

what i learned about myself as an artist: that i was overthinking it. its simpler than i thought. i can't really explain it. but i get it. so . also. that. i know i can be a great artist with enough effort put into it. and. yis

what i see myself doing in ten years: making art. riding bikes. hopefully have a new skill/hobby. new friends. living somewhere new. hopefully im happy. hopefully i won't be wasting my time.

advise: actually spend time on your art. theres no point in doing it if your jus gonna do it crappy. go to class. your only in highschool for a little. soak it up. you have the rest of your life to not be in high school. be there as much as you can, so you can remember it. its not that bad

poem or whatevs: my lifes better without you actually.

INSPIRATION

i love looking at art thats better than mine. it gives me the biggest push to go make art. if i ever dont' feel like drawing or whatever i just look at art online. and then within minutes im wanting to go make art. the first image is this sick wheatpasting. idk where its from. just found it. i love how its partly falling apart. the second one is from this video about hweatpasting. its soooo inspirational. makes me wanna get out there. i love the art in this clip!  im gonna work on creating some posters tomorrow in art. stepyogameup

sorry for the dark picture
SO. i applied to college. one college. lets hope i get in. but now i don't really have that much to do, which im excited about. cause now i can focus on my art! yeaaahahhahsd. i feel like i could put in even more effort to my art, which should be fun, im excited for it. so yeah. i worked on this drawing. but i only worked on it close up, and iddn't see it far away. it looks lame far away. all the details are close up... so for my concentration. im doing the deformities of people. karen and lots of others really liked my owl piece. and i agree. i really like that direction. combines a lot of strongpoints i have i think. so i think im gonna try and do more of the with drawings and such for my concentration. should be gooood!

OH. and i started writing these stupid/ funny poems, that people seem to like. and i think im gonna write like 10 or so and do illustrations with them and hand make a book! just a side project.

I feel like i lost my drive for art the past month or two. really was focusing on biking. but now that i have 2 classes in school, and already applied for college. i find myself reaaaaaaally wanting to make art. which is good! im stokeddd

so. watch out. steppin my game up.

Concentration Stuff

So. as of now my concentration is: The deformations of people. It wasn't so much when i made these. but i still think they turned out cool. The first one is an owl. I started by drawin it with pencil then cutting it out of cardboard. I used fat paint markers to draw the owl on the carboard. Then i filled it in with paint and colored pencil and stuff. I am pleased with this one turned out. It started out as a fun experiment, now its something i actually like. I like how it turned out different than most of the other stuff i do, since they are usually of people. I enjoy the layers and the different colors. It also has a patriotic theme to it. On the upper left part of it it says "america" i dont'r eally know why. But its all painted red white and blue mostly. I thought itwas funny. I guess you can't really tell. it mostly looks white. whatever. Even though its a cut out, i feel it still has compostion and stuff inside it. I thoughtfully placed everything i did in it and i think it payed off.
Now the second one was a stencil i made. I did the drawing in my psychology class. I though it was a funny little doodle and wanted to make it way bigger, and a stencil. I got a big peice of paper. and drew it on it. then cut it out like a stencil. I wanted to make the mouth really dark, to make some contrast. So the whole thing wouldn't be a bunch of skinny outlines. I think the stencil turned out real nice, but it doesn't look as good on a canvas. It would look much better on a wall. I added a fade in the colors. It slighly fades from pink to purple. I thought that turned out nice and made the whole thing a little mor interesting. I also was very pleased with how much it ended up looking like a print, i really like that. Recently i have had a fasination with prints. I really like how they look. Overall i think this turned out alright, but it would look better with a more interesting paint job and on a wall somwhere

Dylan's Room

I painted dylan lee's room for him. finished it up today. i had some pictures from the process but i can't get them on my comp. I like how it turned out though.  he likes it too, which is good. Im gonna do more on the other walls. but this will be the biggest piece. it goes onto two walls . I think i could have made the colors more complicated. added more details. but im pleased with it. kept the letters pretty simple, i want people to be able to read it. anways. i'll be posting other piictures(better ones) and other photos of the new stuff. should be good!!

it says livestrong.

street/ illustration.

i love his color and stuff, which you cant see here. but i like his style of drawing and what not. he is very sick. his street art is incredible

always doing crazy people. on the street. uses sick colors. and cool lines.

jose parla

writings.
fine art.

i like his style . his repetitititviveness. and how he uses his crazy writings and layerrsss. so sickk. the colors are great also

he always does the repetative writing. and his colors are pretty dull but cool . and always abstract yooooo

alex pardee

man holding thing.
illustration.

i like the color he uses. really crazy. he has some of the best colors i've seen. he also has such interesting subject matter. always the craziest things. i love his value and line quality.

he always does crazy creatures which i like because i like doing them also. he has some of the best subject matter. he also has very sick color combos. which you can only see with him. he also makes his things seem so real for not being real at all. neatoooo.

armsrock

armsrock.          http://armsrock.blogspot.com/
face on wall.
illustration/street art.

i like his style of drawing. he just draws people how he sees them and doesn't focus on accuracy. anybody can draw it right, but that doesn't make it art. he also will draw people having only seen them for a few seconds. very cool

he usually does black and white. its very cool. i love his style. he also will draw on the walls and ground. it looks so cool. he will also usually draw people. i also  like doing that!

neck face

the real neck face.                   http://www.myspace.com/therealneckface
custom nikes.
graffiti/illustration.
i like how he does his art wherever he wants. and i like how how he just doesn't care how his art turns out. he tries to do the opposite of what makes people satisfied. i think thats really funny.  he also has very interesting views on art and life.
similarities: he always does similar characters. he usually does funny devil creatures. he also always writes funny things next to his art . they make people laugh. he likes to make peoples days better. he also does a lot of his art on the street. makes it a lot more interesting

i thought it was a cool drawing

favorite song and poem

song:"even shadows have shadows" by eyedea

I stand alone
Burned every bridge over the troubled water
No longer hiding from my personality disorder
A stronger tide is coming, I've been running
trying to function fine with out my mind
climbing out this @*%#ing corner
I was born a thorn away from the rotten petals

A forgotten rebel

craft in the absence of heaven's heavy hands to develop an evident level of benevolence
so it's probably better I sold my soul to the devil
This is a message to anyone I met that thinks they know me
Don't pretend to understand none of the issues that I'm holding
I was in a rush to grow up, look Mom no cuts
Just a stomach in disgust, and the fear
that I might go nuts this year
If I don't slow up I'll see you on my way
One day this $#it'll kill me but I guess that it's OK
I've lost all faith in a world so full of hate
and I don't fucking love music I just use it to escape
I'm caught between wanting to punch someone in the face
and putting a bullet in my head to leave the human race
Everything takes its toll but there's no tolls I can take
I haven't yet found a good reason to be awake
Introducing the corroded bumps I hide behind my smile
I'm angry at the universe for the way she treats me now

And keeps me down,

stealing all my energy
I'm feeling like my enemy, concealing my identity
Not dealing with my tendencies,
I peel the skin and then I squeeze
The real imprinted hand cause he's
not human in this century,
I'm kneeling to the entity
Who built this penitentiary,
as filthy as a centipede
And guilt was in his sense cause he was willing to just let me bleed, While I wore a game face
In 10 years don't check for me I'll be in the same place
This planet's just an over-populated mental hospital
Each zombie walk around constitutes another obstacle
So here it is I'm finally coming out my shell
All 19 years of my life have been in conflict with myself
I'm insecure by every facet of my existence
From my addictions, to the condition I choose to live in
Who you kidding?
I suffer from excess anxiety
A product of pollution in American society
Stare into my eyes and see the hell that burns inside my mind
and I no longer have an ego I can hide behind
but I've been trying disregarding my insanity
Every form of art isolates us from humanity
But it's provoked against being force fed
so Fuck education for a decade and 3 years
of headaches from my peers
Cause now I realize I could have learned more on my own
They taught me how to know everything except my soul
Which is everything I need to grow
Everything that keeps me whole
Everything that ever meant anything to Eyedea
So I leave with golden hopes
to rip the leash that holds my focus
but the fact remains the same, I'm still bound by chains
It doesn't matter if your chain is 10 ft or 100 ft
The fact remains the same, you're still bound by chains
Some people say I've changed, and it's harder to relate to me
Good, I never liked you our friendship was make believe
I'm peeling the mask back and
revealing the rap that's been
Feeling my organs drilling short distorted portions
of morbid acid keeps the torture unfortunately crafted
interests to orbit my portrait and inflict my image with disorder
The minutes get shorter, the walls start to close in
Feels like the brain is hanging on by one clothes pin
I've hidden in the darkness for too long
I make it look all right but on the inside it's all wrong
I want life to change but I don't know if it can
for a man or machine or whatever the f$@# I am
I stand alone burned every bridge over the trouble water
No longer hiding from my personality disorder
You want to die in my life?
then come and stay in madness' favorite little corner

Cause even shadows have shadows
and my secrets are eating me eagerly feeding
I scream in my dreams away but they keep on defeating me
Even Shadows have Shadows
Welcome to the dusty subconscious of an actor
Who murdered his childhood to stop the audience's laughter
Even Shadows have Shadows
How am I to break free from my fears
When I don't like what I see and I can't feel what I hear
Even Shadows have Shadows
So don't judge my book by it's cover
Cause my story's just $&#*ed up as any other

poem:"man vs ape" by mike larsen

Move!
There's no telling what I'ma do
I'm eighty-thousand years of natural selection comin through
You ain't got as much aggression, possessions, weapons
I'll be damned if I get outdone by the next man
If you're beliefs are different than mine, then we gonna fight
Who needs peace when you can profit from being right?
I hold picket signs outside abortion clinic doors
Take what I want with force
And my God could kill yours

Involved with a species evolving so slowly
Genetically infantile, violent and holy
We think we're so smart but there's not much to know
Caveman is still alive behind those robot eyes
Fully controlled by ten thousand year old instincts
Hands on the war button, flinch and your world's extinct
This is technology for the barbarian
I see the future: the past, we'll be there again

Remember, the atom bomb came from the same place as poetry

Die dirty hippy commie scum Christian Muslim Buddhist Jew
Democrat factory workin college student youth
My nervous system don't take no bull$#it
Been dominating since the day I touched the monolith
I only breed with sex-symbol worthy women
They stay at home and cook while I go out a make a living
Don't challenge my ego, don't step on my shoe
Otherwise the next wake that you attend might be for you

Grindin' my teeth as I'm battling uphill
The fight against ape-hood is fate versus free will
We think we're advanced but there's nowhere to go
Mammals stay captive to animal actions
So slowly we climb up this DNA brick wall
Addicted to emptiness, anger and pitfalls
Desire for space, territory, or lust
We'll eventually turn this whole planet to dust

There can be no peace when man is still a part of it

Purpose, perseverance, wordless amoeba surface
To lead the first coherent paleolithic circus
Specific neuro-circuits link man and Neanderthal
However, recent bio-chemical imprints
conflict with primitive urges
It's full blown ontological warfare
Murdering memories in the future two million years
Peace is a word we often say,
But it can't exist as long as the ape is here to stay

YEAHHHHHHHH

http://lhs.loswego.k12.or.us/z-mcbrides/AP/2009/09APbreadthconcentration.htm

this year was so good. i had so much fun. i made cool art, even though i put it off till the last minute. it was great. i love art. i think the best part was being prime minister of NAHS. but . due to recent events, i am no long a prime minister along with matthew. we got impeached. so . now we are presidents and prime ministers of SHIAT( Super Human Infantry Art Team) we will have meetings whenever NAHS does. so come to ours .there will always be free pizza and fun. I think what i learned most from this year was how to push myself a lot further. I was able to create lots of cool things. and i learned that i like drawing way more than i do painting, its definitely my strong point. I learned that i was able to take simple compostions and make them my own by the way i drew and created them. Miss Mcbride was a fantastic teacher as always. i cant' wait to do this again next year. It will also be fun having new AP students. SHOUT OUT to megan and ellen. thanks for hanging out with us every day, even though we just made fun of your(mostly ellen, we didn't make fun of megan all that much).

i will see you all next year loserssssssssssss. JFK ALL DAY
